Foundational
Stories

Founders retire.
Leaders change.
Institutions evolve.

What's often left behind are fragments—dates, milestones and resumes.

Foundational Stories exist to preserve what actually matters.

We create documentary films and recorded conversations at moments of transition.

Why It Matters

Most stories do not disappear. They are simplified.

Lives and institutions are often reduced to dates, titles, and outcomes. What rarely remains is the thinking behind the decisions that shaped them.

Foundational Stories preserve that deeper layer. Through documentary and narrative film, they record context, perspective, and human experience so meaning can endure beyond transition.

Atty. Augusto Go
Founder, University of Cebu

A Man for Others is an intimate portrait of Atty. Augusto Go, told through the people whose lives he has shaped.

From scholars and educators to family and community, the film reflects on a life built on hard work, generosity, and a quiet belief that education can change a person’s fate.

Set in Cebu, it is a story about legacy—not measured by scale, but by the people who move forward because of it. The film was commissioned by his family on the occasion of his 90th birthday.

Felicidad Eguia-Nadres
Founder, EN Barong Filipino

Commissioned by her family for her 90th birthday, this documentary traces the life and legacy of Felicidad Eguia Nadres—from humble beginnings to becoming a quiet force behind the Filipino barong and the communities that sustain it.

Told through her own reflections and the voices of family, colleagues, and longtime workers, the film is shaped around hibla (fiber), habi (weaving), and halaga (value). These ideas mirror both the making of a garment and the building of a life defined by discipline, listening, and care.

More than a business story, Hibla, Habi at Halaga is a portrait of motherhood, integrity, and continuity—honoring unseen labor and a legacy passed on, not as inheritance, but as responsibility.

Santanina Tillah-Rasul
Mother. Educator. Public Servant

The film is a portrait of a woman whose leadership was rooted in service, not position.

From rebuilding her family’s life after war and displacement to shaping landmark laws for workers and women, Rasul lived with a quiet moral clarity.

A teacher at heart, she believed education was the most enduring form of freedom.

This film traces a life anchored in family, faith, and public service, revealing a legacy that continues to guide long after her passing.

Rama Hari: Behind the Curtain
Documentary Feature

Rama Hari: Behind the Curtain is a documentary portrait of the landmark Filipino dance work conceived by National Artist for Dance Alice Reyes and the artists who shaped it.

Moving between its creation in the late 1970s and its present-day restaging, the film gathers the voices of choreographers, composers, designers, and performers who brought Rama Hari to life.

From its bold turn toward Filipino and Asian identity to the collaborative labor behind its staging, the film reflects on the discipline, risk, and collective vision required to build a work that continues to endure. It stands as both a record of process and a testament to the people who carried it across generations.
